India’s LMJ International Ltd. won a bid to supply 50,000 metric tons of wheat to Bangladesh, a government spokesman said today.
The Directorate General of Food, the state grains buyer, will buy wheat from LMJ International at $303.9 a ton, Nurul Karim, joint secretary of the Cabinet Division, told Bloomberg by phone from Dhaka, after a cabinet panel approved the purchase.
LMJ International became the lowest bidder among six companies that participated in the tender, he said.
