Ukraine may nationalize the Zaporozhskiy aluminum smelter, or Zalk, Kommersant-Ukraine newspaper reported, citing Oleksandr Peklushenko, the head of the Zaporizhzhya regional state administration.

The present owner of Zalk isn’t fulfilling its obligations as an investor and the plant needs to be returned to state ownership, Peklushenko said, cited by Kommersant.
