Prime Minister Mario Monti’s government passed a decree law today restoring the right of banks to charge commissions of up to 0.5 percent on loans and other credits, news agency Ansa reported.
The banks had been barred from charging commssions in a separate law that received final approval yesterday. Today’s decree reverses that element of yesterday’s bill.
