Egypt will start supplying the Gaza Strip’s main power plant and other areas with 1 million liters of fuel today, the Cairo-based Middle East News Agency reported, citing a Palestinian official.
Today’s will be the first delivery, MENA said, without giving details of further installments. Gaza’s main electricity provider has been shut since Feb. 14. The Hamas-run government in Gaza said Feb. 23 it reached an agreement with Egypt to bring in fuel.
