Bank of Greece Transfers Deposits of 3 Cooperative Banks to NBG

The Bank of Greece (TELL) transferred the deposits of three cooperative banks whose licences it revoked to National Bank of Greece SA (ETE), the country’s biggest lender.

The move secures the deposits of all customers with deposits at Achaiki Cooperative Bank, Lamia Cooperative Bank and Lesvos-Limnos Cooperative Bank, the Athens-based institution said in an e-mailed statement.
