Ukrainian farmers started sowing spring grains on the Crimean peninsula in the country’s south, according to UkrAgroConsult.
Early spring crops covered 400 hectares (988 acres) in the area as of yesterday, the Kiev-based agricultural researcher said in an e-mailed statement today. Local planting began last year on March 10, UkrAgroConsult said.
