UBS Says It Got Conditional Immunity in Canadian Libor Probe

March 15, 2012

UBS AG (UBSN), Switzerland’s biggest bank, said the Canadian Competition Bureau has granted the company conditional immunity in connection with potential competition law violations related to submissions for Yen Libor.

The bank made the disclosure in its 2011 annual report published today. Zurich-based UBS disclosed previously that it had been granted conditional leniency or conditional immunity from authorities in some jurisdictions, including the U.S. Department of Justice and the Swiss Competition Commission, in connection with their probes of Libor rates.
