Prudential Financial Inc. (PRU), the second-biggest U.S. life insurer, named Jim Pogue vice president of group life products.

Pogue, who has worked in the group industry for more than 30 years, was previously a senior vice president at Guardian Life Insurance Co., Newark, New Jersey-based Prudential said in a statement today distributed by Business Wire.
