Kazakhstan plans to double wheat cargoes that go through the Aktau port this year, the Agriculture Ministry said.
The total will climb to 600,000 to 700,000 metric tons from 307,000 tons last year, the ministry said in an e-mailed statement. The terminal is owned by state grain trader JSC National Co. Food Contract Corp. Most wheat moved through the terminal goes to Iran, Turkey and Greece, the ministry said.
