Google Says Internet Is Creating French Jobs, Telegraph Reports

Google Inc. (GOOG) said the French government should support investment by Internet companies to create jobs in the country, the U.K.’s Daily Telegraph reported, citing an unnamed spokesman.

Google was responding to a report in the weekly Le Point magazine that President Nicolas Sarkozy wants “Internet giants” to pay taxes in France on billions of euros in sales earned in the country, according to the Daily Telegraph.
