Telekom Austria AG (TKA) investor Ronny Pecik, who controls around 20 percent of the company, is content holding onto his stake, the investor told weekly magazine Format, according to a pre-release of a story that will be published tomorrow.
“In principle I have nothing against a Norwegian offer but not at any price,” Pecik told Format, referring to reports that Telenor ASA (TEL) may offer to buy his shares. “We fought hard and tirelessly worked to build our Telekom stake. Why should we again quickly sell?”
Pecik traveled to China “a few weeks ago” to meet with executives from China Mobile Limited (941), he said in the magazine report. He declined to comment on whether he tried building Chinese interest in his Telekom Austria stake, Format reported.
