Ukraine Sees Russian Gas Transit Falling This Year, Boyko Says

March 13, 2012

Ukraine expects Russian natural-gas transit to fall to 100 billion cubic meters this year, Energy Minister Yuriy Boyko told reporters today in the capital, Kiev.

The country transported 104 billion cubic meters of Europe- bound gas exports from Russia last year, Boyko said in January.

Ukraine had expected to ship 110 billion cubic meters of gas across its territory in 2012, according to a draft version of the state budget published on the parliament’s website in September.
