Mexican production of cars and light trucks rose 24.1 percent to 242,317 units in February from the year-earlier period, the nation’s Automobile Industry Association reported.
Exports of vehicles climbed 24.9 percent to 194,640 units over the same period, the group said in a statement distributed in Mexico City today.
Domestic sales increased 11.5 percent to 74,703 vehicles, according to the nation’s car dealership association, or AMDA, in a separate report issued at the same event.
