Greek Police Arrest Regulatory Official on Suspicion of Bribery

Greek police arrested a staff member of the Hellenic Capital Markets Commission on suspicion of bribery and extortion.

The 42 year-old employee was arrested in Thessaloniki, northern Greece, after a company chief executive officer said he paid the person 1,500 euros ($1,970) to avoid an audit, according to a statement posted on the police website.
