Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania have completed a feasibility study for a pipeline to carry Caspian oil to the Polish city of Gdansk via the Black Sea port of Odessa, the Azeri energy minister said.
The parties have established a joint venture, called Sarmatia, to implement the Odessa-Brody-Plock-Gdansk pipeline project, Natiq Aliyev said today on Azeri television channel Lider.
Aliyev said that Azerbaijan is interested in the project as it is an alternative route for supplying its oil to Europe.
