Russian Gas Transit Flows Through Ukraine Fell 13% in February

Ukraine shipped 13 percent less natural gas to the European Union from Russia in February compared with the same month a year earlier, according to the state-run pipeline operator.

Transit flows declined to 8.1 billion cubic meters from 9.3 billion cubic meters, DP Ukrtransgaz, based in the capital Kiev, said today in a statement on its website.

Ukraine transported 16.9 billion cubic meters of gas to the EU in the first two months of the year, compared with 19.3 billion in the same period last year, it said.
