Aviva Health Insurance Fined 245,000 Euros by Irish Central Bank

Aviva (AV/) Health Insurance Ireland Limited was fined 245,000 euros by the Irish central bank for breaches of the country’s consumer code.

Among the breaches, recorded between June 1 2009 and Dec. 31 2010, the company didn’t offer consumers the chance to have their verbal complaints treated as a written complaint, the Dublin-based central bank said in an e-mail statement.
