Anadarko Begins Oil Production at Caesar/Tonga in Gulf

Anadarko Petroleum Corp. (APC) has begun oil production at its Caesar/Tonga development in the deep water Gulf of Mexico.

The company expects to increase output to the equivalent of about 45,000 barrels a day, according to a statement today. Anadarko holds a 33.75 percent stake and is the operator of Caesar/Tonga. Other owners are Statoil ASA (STL), Royal Dutch Shell Plc (RDSA) and Chevron Corp. (CVX), the company said.
