Airbus, Airlines Ask Europe Leaders for Emissions-Cap Compromise

The chief executive officers of Airbus SAS, Air Berlin Plc (AB1) and British Airways were among industry CEOs to sign letters asking European leaders to seek a comprise on aviation-emissions levies amid concerns of a trade war, according to a statement from Airbus.

The other signatories included the heads of the Air France, Iberia, Deutsche Lufthansa AG (LHA), MTU Aero Engines Holding AG (MTX), Safran SA (SAF) and Virgin Atlantic, the planemaker said.
