Nine South American countries see their economic growth moderating this year, according to a joint statement by central bank presidents from Mercosur members along with Bolivia, Chile, Peru, Ecuador and Venezuela.
The officials issued the statement after meeting in Buenos Aires today.
Expansive policies in advanced economies will continue to exert pressure on regional currencies to strengthen, the statement said.
