The Lima General Index (IGBVL) rose 0.9 percent to 23,232.50. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index (MXPECAPD) climbed 0.8 percent to 2,909.19.
Alturas Minerals Corp. (ALT) , a Canadian copper and gold exploration company, rose 8.3 percent to 13 cents after copper gained for a third day in New York.
Candente Copper Corp. (DNT) , a Canadian copper exploration company, jumped 6.6 percent to $1.13.
Panoro Minerals Ltd. (PML) , a Canadian copper and gold exploration company, advanced for a third session, climbing 3.7 percent to 84 cents.
Volcan Cia. Minera SAA (VOLCAAC1) (VOLCAAC1 PE), Peru’s largest zinc and silver producer, climbed 3.2 percent to 5.11 soles after zinc futures advanced in London.
Intergroup Financial Services Corp. (IFS) , the owner of Peru’s fourth-largest bank Interbank, rose 3.2 percent to $32.40, in line with gains by U.S. stocks. Citigroup Inc. analyst Geoffrey Dennis yesterday recommended Peruvian stocks.
