Vale SA (VALE3)’s Vale Beijing, the iron-ore ship damaged while loading its first cargo off the coast of Brazil, is heading for Oman, ship-tracking data compiled by Bloomberg show.
The vessel, operated for Vale by Seoul-based STX Pan Ocean Co. (028670), is 20.6 meters (67.6 feet) deep in the water out of a maximum draft of 23.02 meters, indicating it loaded cargo, according to the data. Vale, located in Rio de Janeiro, is the world’s biggest producer of iron ore, a steelmaking raw material.
