Deutsche Bank Will ‘Vigorously Contest’ Korean Investor Claims

March 05, 2012

Deutsche Bank AG (DBK) said it will “vigorously contest” claims by Korean investors after Yonhap news agency reported that they filed a damage suit alleging stock market manipulation by Germany’s biggest bank, which they blame for investment losses.

“Deutsche Bank will vigorously contest the claim,” spokesman Michael West said by e-mail today. Six investors filed the suit with the Seoul Central District Court and also local brokerage company Korea Investment & Securities Co., demanding the two companies pay 110 million won ($98,378) in compensation, Yonhap reported today.
