Vodafone Holding GmbH (VOD), the German unit of Vodafone Group Plc. (VOD) may lag behind competitors in developing high-speed LTE wireless data communications technology, Focus magazine said, without citing anyone.

Vodafone’s drive to achieve savings may slow down development of next-generation “Long Term Evolution” technology, the magazine said in a previewed report. Vodafone Holding competes with Deutsche Telekom AG (DTE) in operating mobile communication services.
