Spanish towns and regions owe Madrid-based builders Ferrovial SA (FER), Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA and Fomento de Construcciones & Contratas SA around 5 billion euros ($6.7 billion), Expansion reported, without saying how it obtained the information.

In total towns and regions owe the building industry around 7 billion euros, Expansion said.
