Rain to Fall in China’s Drought-Parched Yunnan, Forecaster Says

China’s drought-affected southwestern province of Yunnan will get as much as 16 millimeters of rain between tonight and March 4, the National Meteorological Center said on its website.

The drought that started in December has parched 15 prefectures and municipalities, limiting drinking water for 3.19 million people and 1.58 million head of livestock, Xinhua News Agency reported, citing the provincial government.
