Boeing Aims to Brief Board This Year on Plans for 777 Upgrade

Boeing Co. (BA) is working toward being able to brief directors by year’s end on plans for an upgrade to the 777 wide-body jet, the planemaker’s most-profitable model.

“We’re talking towards the end of the decade” for a new 777 variant to enter service, Boeing Commercial Airplanes President Jim Albaugh said today at the company’s twin-aisle jet factory in Everett, Washington.
