Ukraine posted a state budget surplus in January as revenue increased from the same month the previous year, the Finance Ministry said.
The surplus totaled 1.46 billion hryvnia ($181.8 million), compared with a deficit of 942.4 million hryvnia in January 2011, the ministry, based in capital Kiev, said today in a statement on its website. Budget revenue jumped 18.3 percent to 21.7 billion hryvnia, it said.
