SPDR Gold Trust Holdings Unchanged at 1,294 Metric Tons

Gold holdings in the SPDR Gold Trust, the biggest exchange-traded fund backed by bullion, were unchanged at 1,293.68 metric tons as of Mar. 1, according to figures on the company’s website.

Gold futures for April delivery rose $5.50, or 0.3 percent, to $1,716.80 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange.
