Hungary’s benchmark stock index BUX (BUX) fell 0.3 percent to 19,227.19 at the close of trading in Budapest.
The following were among the most active equities in the Hungarian market today. Stock symbols follow company names.
E-Star Alternativ Nyrt. (ESTAR) (ESTAR HB), a Hungarian energy company, dropped as much as 6.2 percent and traded 2.8 percent lower at 3,935 forint, the lowest since Feb. 17, after reporting a 3.1 million-euro ($4.1 million) net loss for the fourth quarter.
Mol Nyrt. (MOL) , Hungary’s biggest refiner, climbed 0.5 percent to 18,800 forint. The country’s purchasing managers’ index increased to 50.5 points in February from 49.8 points in the previous month.
