Augustin de Romanet, the head of Caisse des Depots et Consignations, resigned from the board of Veolia Environnement SA (VIE) today, according to a spokesman for the bank.

The CDC will retain representation on the board, the spokesman said, declining to be identified citing bank policy. It’s not yet clear who will take De Romanet’s place, he said.
