Pinera Seeks to Develop Renewable Energy in Chile, DF Reports

Chile’s President Sebastian Pinera will seek to develop renewable energy sources including hydroelectric dams to boost power supply in the South American nation, Diario Financiero reported.

Chile’s government will also seek ways to reduce power consumption in a plan unveiled by the president at Pacific Hydro Pty’s Chacayes plant in central Chile, the Santiago-based newspaper reported on its website.
