The 30-stock Micex index rose 3.7 percent to 1,594.55 by the close in Moscow, its biggest advance in three months. The dollar-denominated RTS index gained 5 percent to 1,722.05.

Black Earth Farming Ltd. (BEFSDB) dropped to the lowest price in almost two months, sliding 3.5 percent to 14 kronor. The Stockholm-listed Russian grain producer reported its net loss widened last year because of bad crop quality.
Mail.ru Group Ltd. (MAIL) climbed 8.2 percent to $38.20, the highest intraday price since July 27. The largest Russian- language Internet company’s London-traded global depositary receipts advanced after it reported net income in the second half of 2011 almost tripled from a year earlier to $122.9 million.
OAO Rosneft (ROSN) (ROSN RX) gained 3.9 percent to 225.55 rubles and OAO Lukoil (LKOH) (LKOH RX) added 5.2 percent to 1,871.20 rubles, its biggest gain based on closing prices since October 2009. Oil increased as much as 1.1 percent to $108.99 a barrel in New York, advancing for a seventh day and headed for its longest winning streak since January 2010.
