Blessing Doubts PSI Voluntary, Compares to Spanish Inquisition

Feb. 23 (Bloomberg) -- Commerzbank AG Chief Executive Officer Martin Blessing said he has issues with calling the Greek debt swap voluntary, comparing it to confessions during the Spanish Inquisition.
Still, Germany’s second-biggest lender plans to participate in the debt swap even though he has concerns with categorizing it as voluntary and not subjecting central banks to the haircut, Blessing said at a press conference in Frankfurt today.
