Moet Hennessy to Produce Red Wine in Southwest China

Feb. 22 (Bloomberg) -- Moet Hennessy, the wine and spirits division of LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SA, signed a joint venture accord with China’s VATS Group to build a winery in southwest China’s Yunnan province.

The winery aims “to offer Chinese consumers a premium quality red wine within four to five years,” Moet Hennessy Chief Executive Officer Christophe Navarre said in an e-mailed statement today.
