Feb. 21 (Bloomberg) -- Rio Tinto Group said it discovered Australia’s biggest pink rough diamond at its Argyle mine, the world’s largest producer of this type of gem.
The 12.76 diamond will be cut and polished as a single stone before being graded and sold as part of the Argyle Pink Diamonds Tender later this year, London-based Rio Tinto said in a statement today.
The diamond will be known as the Argyle Pink Jubilee.
