Feb. 21 (Bloomberg) -- European Union finance ministers agreed on a budget-oversight proposal that calls for enhanced monitoring and assessment of the draft budget plans of euro-area governments.
The proposal also includes rules on beefed-up oversight of euro-area nations “that are experiencing severe financial disturbance or request financial assistance,” the EU said today in a statement.
