AIG’s Chartis Names Martinez to Lead New Claims, Operations Unit

Feb. 21 (Bloomberg) -- American International Group Inc., the bailed-out insurer, named Eric Martinez to lead a new claims and operations unit at the Chartis property-casualty division.
Martinez was previously chief executive officer of AIG’s mortgage insurance operation, a position that will be filled by Kim Garland, who is being promoted at the loan-guaranty business, according to a statement today from the New York-based company.
