Russia Equity Movers: Baltika, Rosneft, Lukoil Shares Are Active

Feb. 20 (Bloomberg) -- The 30-stock Micex index rose 0.7 percent to 1,579.19 at the 6:45 p.m. close in Moscow, extending last week’s 2.8 percent gain. The dollar-denominated RTS index rose 1.1 percent to 1,674.27.

The following are among the most active equities in the Russian market today. Stock symbols are in parentheses.

OAO Baltika (PKBA RX) jumped 14 percent to 1,401 rubles, its strongest gain in three years based on closing prices. The Russian brewer owned by Carlsberg AS climbed after its Copenhagen-based parent said it will make a voluntary offer for the company’s remaining shares.

OAO Rosneft (ROSN RX), climbed as much as 1.2 percent and traded up 0.4 percent at 219.32 rubles by the close. Russia’s biggest oil producer climbed as crude rose to a nine-month high in New York after Iran said it halted some crude exports and investors bet a Greek bailout deal is close. OAO Lukoil (LKOH RX), Russia’s second-largest oil company, snapped two days of declines, advancing as much as 1.1 percent before closing up 0.3 percent at 1,879.90 rubles.
