EU Leaders Sent Letter to EU Commission on Growth, Monti Says

Feb. 20 (Bloomberg) -- European Union nations have sent a letter to EU President Herman Van Rompuy and EU Commission President Jose Barroso calling for greater measures to boost economic growth, Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti said.

Seven or eight EU leaders signed the letter, which will be made public today, Monti said in an address at the Milan stock exchange. The letter includes “specific measures” and will be discussed at the EU summit on March 1 in Brussels, Monti said.
