Hungary Can Maintain Farming Component of Growth, Natran Says

February 17, 2012

Feb. 17 (Bloomberg) -- Hungary can this year maintain the agriculture output which boosted gross domestic product last year, Roland Natran, deputy state secretary at the Economy Ministry, said today.

“Significant” investments currently under way will also help maintain the contribution of manufacturing to economic growth, Natran said in an interview with state-run MR1 radio.

The proportion of borrowers availing of a law allowing the early repayment of foreign-currency mortgages at below-market rates will probably be “a few percentage points above 20 percent,” Natran added.
