Feb. 17 (Bloomberg) -- A federal appeals court in New York today threw out its mandate overturning the conviction of former Goldman Sachs Group Inc. computer programmer, Sergey Aleynikov. The ruling means the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals in New York retains jurisdiction over the case.
Prosecutors earlier today asked the court for the move, saying the U.S. wanted the three appeals court judges or the full panel of the 2nd Circuit court judges to re-hear their challenge of the case.
