Feb. 10 (Bloomberg) -- Burundi’s inflation rate climbed to 21.6 percent in January from 14.9 percent in December as food prices increased, the Burundian Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies said.
John de Dieu, a statistician at the institute, spoke in a phone interview today from Bujumbura, the capital.
