Brazilian Stock Movers: Banco do Brasil, Dasa, Embraer

Feb. 14 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Sao Paulo trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the close of trading. Preferred shares are usually the most-traded class of stock.

The Bovespa Index fell 1 percent to 65,038.53.

Banco do Brasil SA (BBAS3 BS) advanced 4.1 percent to 27.47 reais. Latin America’s biggest bank by assets reported fourth- quarter earnings that beat analysts’ estimates as loans grew 20 percent, faster than the industry average. Adjusted earnings per share reached 4.11 reais ($2.38), above the 3.92 reais average of 15 estimates compiled by Bloomberg.

Diagnosticos da America SA (DASA3 BS) fell 4 percent to 15.50 reais. The medical-diagnostics firm known as Dasa said Chief Financial Officer Jose Mauricio Mora Puliti is leaving to “pursue new challenges.” Chief Executive Officer Marcelo Noll Barboza will fill the position.

Embraer SA (EMBR3 BS) gained 1.1 percent to 12.61 reais. The world’s fourth-biggest airplane maker said it sold 12 commercial jets and three business aircraft at the Singapore Air Show. At list prices, the deals are worth $680.6 million.
