Russian Stocks: United Co. Rusal, Lukoil, Novatek, Rosneft Move

Feb. 14 (Bloomberg) -- The Micex Index of 30 shares rose 0.9 percent to 1,570.82 by 4:19 p.m. in Moscow, heading for the highest level in more than six months.

The following are among the most active equities in the Russian market today. Stock symbols follow company names.

United Co. Rusal (RUALR RX) added 1.8 percent to 257.91 rubles after the world’s biggest aluminum producer said it plans to raise alloy output at its Aluminum Division units by as much as 70 percent by 2016 to produce 1.93 million metric tons.

OAO Lukoil (LKOH RX), Russia’s second-biggest oil company, rose 1 percent to 1,863.70 rubles, heading for its strongest closing level since July 26, after oil rose, reversing earlier declines, on concern that tensions with Iran may hinder Middle East exports.

OAO Rosneft (ROSN RX), the country’s largest oil company, added 0.6 percent to 217.23 rubles.

OAO Gazprom (GAZP RX), the supplier of a quarter of Europe’s natural gas, climbed 0.6 percent to 193.10 rubles, poised for its highest close since Aug. 2. Natural gas prices are linked to crude. OAO Novatek (NVTK RX), Russia’s second- biggest natural-gas producer, advanced 1.2 percent to 397.99 rubles.
