Feb. 14 (Bloomberg) -- Peru’s Air Force is considering buying 10 Super Tucano turboprop planes made by Embraer SA, the world’s fourth-biggest aircraft maker, Brazil’s Defense Ministry said.
Both countries will increase their cooperation in aerospace, including a possible upgrade of Peru’s current fleet of Tucano aircraft, the ministry said in a statement posted on its website.
Brazil’s Defense Minister Celso Amorim met his Peruvian counterpart Alberto Otarola Penaranda in Brasilia today to discuss military cooperation.
