Colombia Coffee Output in 12 Months to January Falls 20 Percent

Feb. 9 (Bloomberg) -- Colombia, the world’s second-biggest producer of Arabica coffee beans, said its harvest declined 20 percent to 7.44 million bags in the 12 months ending in January.
Output in the prior 12-month period was 9.32 million bags, Colombia’s National Federation of Coffee Growers said in a e- mailed statement today in Bogota.
Exports in the 12-month period to January fell 8.7 percent to 7.42 million bags, the group said.
