February 13, 2012

Feb. 13 (Bloomberg) -- Zavarovalnica Triglav d.d., Slovenia’s biggest insurer, estimated it will pay about 6 million euros ($8 million) of damages caused by recent gale- force winds in the southwestern part of the country, Finance newspaper reported citing the company.

Winds with speeds of 180 kilometers per hour (112 mph) battered Slovenia in the past week as the rest of the Balkan region experienced heavy snowfall and freezing temperatures.
