Feb. 13 (Bloomberg) -- French President Nicolas Sarkozy’s approval rating rose in February as he prepared to announce that he’s running for re-election, according to a poll by Ipsos SA for Le Point magazine.
Sarkozy’s rating, which hit a low of 29 percent last April, rose two points during February to 36 percent. His disapproval rating fell three points to 60 percent. The pollster questioned 974 people on Feb. 10-11. No margin of error was provided.
France holds two rounds of presidential elections on April 22 and May 6.
