Feb. 11 (Bloomberg) -- Niger won’t extradite al-Saadi Qaddafi, a son of the former Libyan dictator, the country’s Minister of Justice Marou Amadou said today.
“Despite having violated the rules of asylum, Saadi Qaddafi will not be extradited for now,” Amadou said at a press conference in the capital Niamey.
The government was responding to a request by the Libyan Transitional Council for the extradition.
